St. Pete Farmers Market; the Largest in Southeast U.S.
Saint Petersburg Saturday Morning Market has become the largest farmers market in the southeast United States. Started in 2002, it currently has over 170 vendors rotating through 140 spaces.
There is no better way to experience St. Pete’s weather, creative spirit, and artisan community while shopping in this open air-market. Grab your totes and get ready to stock up on food, crafts, plants, and more than you can imagine…or maybe even bring the beach wagon to make sure you can haul it all.
The Freshest Fruits and Vegetables Available
This one of a kind market has a variety of fruits and veggies second to none…all grown by local farmers. There are two organic farms that are located just hours away from the city, so it doesn’t get any fresher than that! When food is fresh, even things I might not like, taste yummy.
The produce is so fresh that I always buy way too much just so I don’t miss the taste of something so darn tasty. Now I have to check the room in my fridge just to make sure my shopping will all fit…
Not all the farmers sell only veggies,so be on the lookout for organic meats, fruits, honey, sprouts, and even maple syrup.
Eat Around the World at St. Petersburg Morning Market
The phrase, “Come Hungry” is an understatement in this market. The market has over 13 countries' delicacies and styles of “ready to eat” food. Experience foods like Ethiopian, Thai, Cuban, French, Indian, Jamaican, German, Greek and Mexican to name a few.
Of course, there is also the all-american BBQ from “Mr. I Got Em”, he is the tall guy wearing the tuxedo. Psssst!...the boiled peanuts are only $2.00.
The market also offers a vast variety of artisan food vendors selling cheeses, chutneys, baked goods, olives, spices, guacamole, popsicles. There are plenty of tables and seating within the market to start your feast or sip on some coffee.

The market’s mission is to be the heart of St. Petersburg creating a place of joy, connectedness, and creativity. While the food, live music, and local vendors are fantastic components of the market it’s the spirit of the community that really defines the Saturday Morning Market experience.
