ARMATURE WORKS “Tampa Heights” Neighborhood
From a Maintenance Barn to a Foodie Destination
Dating back to 1910, Armature Works was once known as Tampa Electric Streetcar warehouse. It was previously used as a maintenance barn for TECO streetcars and trolleys and has now gone through a modern restoration. You need to see it!
Today, Armature Works is a mixed-use commercial building that has brought life into the historic Tampa Heights neighborhood. The building’s extensive renovation project is focused on keeping the historical feel of this Tampa landmark. Now you will see original features such as exposed brick walls, skylights, original windows and hardwood floors.
This 73,000-square foot commercial space is located just north of downtown Tampa on the Hillsborough River. This premier community destination consists of multiple event spaces, Heights Public Market, Bay 3 co-working space, M. Bird Rooftop Lounge as well as two signature restaurants Steelbach, and Oak and Ola.
Social Atmosphere with lots of food options
The Heights Public Market is a foodie’s dream with an abundant selection of vendors to choose from. This space serves woodfire pizza, bento boxes, southern specialties like mac and cheese, Empanadas, American comfort food, Mediterranean, Cuban, Mexican, and Japanese.
The Market is more than just a food hall. It is a space for locals and visitors to congregate, to work, socialize and enjoy life. The 22,000 sq-ft industrial market features an open floor plan with communal seating surrounded by restaurants showcasing the top chefs in the Bay Area.
