More on Gulfport Florida
Known as a hidden gem in the shadow of St. Pete, Gulfport Florida has been called a funky, eclectic, and artsy locale in the heart of a small town. Nestled on the shores of Boca Ciega Bay, Gulfport is home to about 15,000 residents as part of the Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater Metro area. It's received several names since its founding back in 1884 when it was first known as Disston City. In 1890, the town change the name again to Veteran City and officially in 1910 to Gulfport.
