A large park that takes up five interconnected islands at the south end of Pinellas County and Hillsborough County. A very large wilderness conservation area that contains a series of smaller park sites managed by the Hillsborough County Conservation and Environmental Land Management Department. Parks that can be found here include Dead River Park, Flatwoods Park, John B Sergeant Park, Morris Bridge Park, Trout Creek Park, and Wilderness Park off Rode Loop Trail. This is the spot to be if you're an outdoor or wilderness lover in the Tampa area it provides countless outdoor activities that many local people have not yet discovered.
A reclaimed phosphate mine that brings some of the best elevation changes in the state. It is a popular spot for mountain biking, horseback riding, and hiking. There are also a few lakes in the park which are great spots for fishing or just enjoying the scenery as well as the actual Alafia River. The park also features a playground, bike service shop, and campground.
