Downtown Tampa
The Florida Aquarium is located right on the waterfront on Channelside Dr. just steps from the port. This very large 200,000 square foot aquarium is home to more the 14,000 animals native to Florida and beyond. Get up close to the animals at the touch pools or through the penguin meet and greet, let the littles play in the splash pad, swim with Dolphins, watch 3-D films, and more.
One of the best restaurant scenes in the city of Tampa Florida is the Sparkman Wharf. Whatever you are in the mood for you can find it at Sparkman Wharf on Water Street in the Channel District. Many locals love to leisurely stroll through with their furry friends enjoying the waterfront, live music, amazing food and craft beers/favorite local drinks. It is right next to the giant Port of Tampa launching boat of several cruise ships and home to many boats and luxury yachts.

A large park that takes up five interconnected islands at the south end of Pinellas County and Hillsborough County. The park features a historic fort, white sandy beaches, boat launch, floating docks, camping area, picnic shelters, playgrounds, trails, swim centers, fishing piers, ferry service to Egmont and Shell Key, concession stand with souvenirs, and a dog park.
Lower Hillsborough Wilderness Preserve
A very large wilderness conservation area that contains a series of smaller park sites managed by the Hillsborough County Conservation and Environmental Land Management Department. Parks that can be found here include Dead River Park, Flatwoods Park, John B Sergeant Park, Morris Bridge Park, Trout Creek Park, and Wilderness Park off Rode Loop Trail. This is the spot to be if you're an outdoor or wilderness lover in the Tampa area it provides countless outdoor activities that many local people have not yet discovered.
A reclaimed phosphate mine that brings some of the best elevation changes in the state. It is a popular spot for mountain biking, horseback riding, and hiking. There are also a few lakes in the park which are great spots for fishing or just enjoying the scenery as well as the actual Alafia River. The park also features a playground, bike service shop, and campground.
A famous Florida favorite festival since 1930. There is live entertainment including concerts, youth livestock shows, rides, exhibits, amusement rides, local goods for sale, and the best strawberry shortcake you will ever taste. It is Plant City's pride and joy.
