Historic Uptown is a neighborhood located in the city of St. Petersburg Florida just north of the downtown area. The neighborhood is bordered by 16th Street on the west 12th Avenue to the north, 4th St on the East, and 5th Avenue to the south.

Things to Do in Historic Uptown
Historic Round Lake Park
Round Lake is really more of a large pond, but the park is quiet and beautiful and still a fun spot to enjoy the outdoors in St. Petersburg. It's a nice quiet park with a water feature within walking distance from homes in the neighborhood that is never crowded.
Take a Walk to Downtown and the Waterfront
Historic Uptown lies on the northern border of the downtown area of St. Petersburg and just a few blocks further is the waterfront area.
The pier downtown is just minutes away and is a hub of waterfront activities. The pier itself extends into Tampa Bay and is described as a landmark pleasure pier. At the pier, you will find plenty of beautiful outdoor spaces for walking and fishing or just playing, with sandy beach areas, restaurants, a play structure, and the popular Discovery Center with interactive exhibits and the chance to watch marine life in gorgeous created habitats. Walk to the Many Businesses on 4th Street
4th Street is a hub of commercial business on the east border of the neighborhood. There are several great stores and restaurants along 4th street just a short walk from many of the homes in the neighborhood. Some of the businesses on 4th Street include a Trader Joe's store, Publix Grocery Store, Tijuana Flats, small local restaurants, Chipotle, Open Air Fresh Produce Market, and more.

The public schools serving the youngest residents of the Historic Uptown neighborhood are all part of the Pinellas County Public School District. Specific schools that are assigned to serve Historic Uptown include North Shore Elementary School, Woodlawn Elementary School, John Hopkins Middle School, and St. Petersburg High School.
