La Vista is a community of the town of St. Petersburg Florida in the Tampa Bay area of west-central Florida. La Vista is on the west side of the city directly located across the water from the Treasure Island Barrier Island and the south boundary on Central Avenue directly connects into the Treasure Island Causeway, giving direct and quick access to the barrier island and the most amazing Gulf of Mexico beaches as well as the famous St. Pete Beach area.
The La Vista neighborhood is bordered on the north by 5th avenue, on the east by Pasadena Avenue, on the South by Burlington and Central, and on the west by the Boca Ciega Bay and Sunset Drive. It neighbors the Pasadena and Jungle Terrace areas of St. Petersburg.

La Vista is a mostly residential area of St. Petersburg but is just two miles from all of the beach activity of Treasure Island and just 7 miles from all of the modern amenities and urban atmosphere of downtown St. Petersburg.
The Beaches of Treasure Island
Treasure Island is most recognized for its miles of gorgeous white sand beaches that are located on the Gulf of Mexico providing less crowded perfect tropical beaches. Hop on the Beach Trolley and head down there without a car. At the beach enjoy lounging in a chair, swimming, parasailing or paragliding, boating, scuba diving, snorkeling, paddle boarding, sailing, and more either on your own or through one of the many rental and tour companies that run out of Treasure Island.
Downtown St. Petersburg
Downtown is a fairly short drive and sits on the shore of the Tampa Bay on the other side of the mainland area of Pinellas County. It is home to a great collection of restaurants, shops, bars, cultural attractions, and a great art scene, as well as the pier.
The pier is part of the downtown area of St. Petersburg and is a hub of waterfront activities. The pier itself extends into Tampa Bay and is described as a landmark pleasure pier. At the pier, you will find plenty of beautiful outdoor spaces for walking and fishing or just playing, with sandy beach areas, restaurants, a playground.
