Pasadena and the Yacht Club Estates are two neighborhoods right next to each other that sometimes are considered as the same neighborhood in the far west section of the city of St. Petersburg right next to the bridge into Treasure Island. The Pasadena area is home to an eclectic mix of properties near the Boca Ciega Bay and Yacht Club Estates is one of St. Petersburg's Premier waterfront housing communities. Nearly every home in the small Yacht Club Estates neighborhood is on the water as a series of streets that jut into the bay.

The pier is the waterfront area of Downtown St Pete. The pier itself extends into Tampa Bay and is described as a landmark pleasure pier.
