More About Plant City
Plant City is a city of Hillsborough County in the middle of Brandon and Lakeland in the greater Tampa area. The town was named after railroad developer and founder Henry B. Plant, though some think it is named after the large plant nursery in town or for the famous strawberries. Plant City is known as the "Winter Strawberry Capital of the World." Every year Plant City hosts the annual Florida Strawberry Festival and has done so for the last 80 years.
