Temple Terrace is a small town neighboring the city of Tampa on the east. Temple Terrace is probably most notable for its location on the banks of the Hillsborough River and the great golf course community centered around an expertly designed golf course. Things to Do in and Near Temple Terrace
Lettuce Lake Park is just north of Temple Terrace it is a large conservation park and one of the most visited parks in the county. More than half of the park is in the natural floodplain of the Hillsborough River with hardwood swamp forests. Here you can enjoy hiking trails, a boardwalk, observation tower, and a few areas that are dog friendly. People love to canoe and kayak down the river in this area as well.
A very large wilderness conservation area that contains a series of smaller park sites managed by the Hillsborough County Conservation and Environmental Land Management Department. Parks that can be found here include Dead River Park, Flatwoods Park, John B Sergeant Park, Morris Bridge Park, Trout Creek Park, and Wilderness Park off Rode Loop Trail. This is the spot to be if you're an outdoor or wilderness lover in the Tampa area it provides countless outdoor activities that many local people have not yet discovered.

The Florida Aquarium is located right on the waterfront on Channelside Dr. just steps from the port.
